NUMA (Nucleus of Advanced Manufacturing) is an excellence research center recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and joins people of different areas of knowledge and department of several universities, allowing the development of interdisciplinaries works. NUMA’s headquarters is at São Carlos School of Engineering at USP. It has also participation of UFSCar, UNICAMP, UNIMEP and University of Aachen (Germany) researchers.
NUMA has the financial support of several fomentation entities. The main institutions are Fapesp, Finep, CNPq and Ministry of the Science and Technology.
The nucleus also possess agreements and partnerships with several companies of high technology. Among them are IBM, Index, Cestari, KSR, HP and SAP.
